Easter Weekend

How much can you pack into 24 hours? With the help of Katie Call---ALOT. As most of you know, Katie and David are moving to Idaho this weekend, so I went down to spend one last weekend in Ogden with my sister. I arrived about 4pm, and we went to a lovely dinner at Applebee's. Well, the dinner was lovely, the food was so-so. Then Katie presented me a challenge. To buy two shirts and one pair of pants for $20. We hit a few stores but didn't find anything. Deciding we were burned out for the night, we bought ice cream, face masks and rented a movie (essential for a girls night). Add in alot of can't-breathe-because-we're-laughing-so hard moments, and we had a winner of a night!

Saturday we hit more stores, and I eventually lost....but only because I overspent by $9 on a cardigan that Katie swore was worth losing the challenge. After a yummy lunch at a bakery I've forgotten the name of, we grabbed some Krispy Kremes and went back to pack up my car.

I had the BEST time, and am happy Katie will be closer so we can hopefully do it again. Thanks to the rest of my family who helped watch my children so I could be just Jill for a bit.

Me taking the challenge. I lost, but ended up with three really cute pieces of clothing.

One of my non-challenge purchases....a hat. Please let me know your opinion, as I'm not a hat person. Katie did put one of my hat-fears to rest, however. Thanks, sis, I was sweating that after-dark issue.

Me and Katie in our rejuevenating masks.

The fiesta happening next door. The party started at 9am and was still rockin' when I left at 4pm! It was like being back in Cabo!

Katie and I took over 15 pictures trying to get a good one. Sadly, this is it.

Sunday was Easter. These are all the pictures I have of the kids. I didn't even get them in their Easter clothes! We were running late and I didn't think of taking a picture. I'll get it next week. But we made it to all three meetings. That's huge. HUGE.

After church Ben, Kim and Matthew came by for dinner.

New shirts

Our friends (and much-loved baby-sitters) Adam and Katie went on a cruise to Mexico. They were kind enough to bring the kids back shirts. Here's a picture of Amelia's. Cooper wore his for 3 hours and spilled chocolate milk and ketchup on it, so I'll post a picture after I've laundered it!

In other news, well, there isn't much. Birthdays are over, school is winding down and summer plans are in full-swing!

Cooper wanted in on a shot. He has a very unique smile.

Happy 4th Birthday, Cooper!

Our Cooper Boy turned 4 years old today! The morning started with Andy and "Bompa" here. Cooper opened his presents and "wuved" them all, especially his laptop and big boy bike. He had French toast for breakfast and we headed out to pick up his cake and balloons. He had lunch at McDonald's, and then Ben, Kim and Matthew came over later to have birthday cake and ice cream--which was Cooper's choice for dinner! We love you Cooper!

Around 2-3 months old.

First minutes of being 4 years old.

His "best friends" Bompa and Andy.

His new bike!

Settling in to watch his choice of movie with their snugglis.

His McQueen cake. This kid is McQueen-crazy. He got a McQueen umbrella, snuggli, underwear, cake, head flashlight and fishing game!!

A Slew of Activities

Life seems to be zipping right by. This last week we had a patriotic program at Amelia's school, Matthew's blessing, visits to the doctor (those darn coughs won't go AWAY), yearly pictures,(I'll post when I get them) and all our other weekly activities! Here's a few pictures:

Amelia in her birthday outfit. She went shopping with Nana and I last weekend. Nana and Grandpa bought her this shirt and an Easter dress. I'll tell ya, Amelia takes after her aunt Katie shopping-wise. I was exhausted after an hour!

Cooper at Amelia's school program. He wanted to stand on the risers after the program. I have his eyes half open at least! In other news, he's been accepted to the summer semester of pre-school, so we're excited about that!

Amelia's program. The picture isn't very good, and neither is the video, sorry. Cooper was pulling on my arm while I was filming, and the nice lady in the front row kept blocking Amelia!

Spring Has Sprung!

For a day, at least, it was sunny and warm! Now, I'm NOT a fan of summer, but I can definitely get behind temps of 55-70 degrees!! The kids had a great time riding bikes in the sunshine. The sun and I don't get along, however. My lips got sunburned and are now covered in fever blisters.

Notice Amelia's flip flops? They ended up shedding the jackets about ten minutes after we were outside.
